Vegetable Glycerin

Vegetable Glycerin is a byproduct of soap making, or can be distilled from vegetable oils.  Chemically it is classified as an alcohol, but this humectant behaves very differently than how you might think.  Not only does it draw in water from the air, but it can also draw water up from the deeper layers of your skin to the surface, making it an incredible moisturizer.

You'll also find glycerin in some soaps, because it provides a very gentle cleaning without stripping away the oils in your skin or hair.

Our Active Enzyme Exfoliator and Moisturizing Cleanser both use Vegetable Glycerin in the formulations.
